How to choose the right machine for your wood species and output.
How to choose between a log multi-rip saw and a square-wood multi-rip saw?
If your raw material is mainly logs, choose a log multi-rip saw (prefer auto-centering for higher yield); if it is already squared timber or boards, choose a square-wood multi-rip saw; if you have both, a combined log and square model covers both in one machine.
Light-duty or heavy-duty square-wood multi-rip saw?
For small sections, lower throughput and power saving, choose light-duty; for large hardwood sections and high throughput, choose heavy-duty with high power and high feed speed. Decide by cant section size and target capacity.
When do I need an edging or multi-rip machine?
When boards need wane removed and straightening to raise grade and consistency, choose an edger; in continuous board processing it markedly improves grade and cuts labor.
What blade material should I choose?
For heavy continuous cutting, alloy tool-steel bodies such as 75Cr1 resist heat, burning and cracking; we supply multi-rip sets and custom sizes, and can arrange sample cutting tests to confirm fit.
Should I go for an automatic sawmill production line?
For high volume, continuous operation and labor saving, choose an automatic line with feed, cut and convey integrated; for small batches a single machine is enough. We plan the whole line to your capacity.
