Common faults and how to fix them.
Why does the multi-rip saw blade burn or turn blue, and how to fix it?
Common causes: feed too fast, dull blades, insufficient cooling, or wrong or improperly mounted blade. Fix: reduce feed speed; re-sharpen or replace blades in time; add mist or oil cooling; use heat-resistant alloy blades (such as our 75Cr1 body that resists burning and cracking); check spindle runout and blade concentric mounting.
The cut surface is rough with knife marks. What to do?
First check if the blade is dull or has excessive radial runout; confirm stable feeding with pressure rollers or guides; match tooth count to the wood; check spindle bearings for wear. Replacing with a sharp blade, correcting concentricity and stabilizing feed markedly improves surface quality.
Yield is low and the kerf is wide. How to improve?
Switch to narrow-kerf thin-cut blades to reduce waste; optimize the blade set and spacers; for logs use auto-centering feed to balance the cut and raise yield; re-sharpen regularly to avoid repeated cutting.
The machine vibrates heavily or makes unusual noise. What to do?
Check that the foundation is level and solid; belt tension and alignment; spindle or bearing wear; and that blades are mounted with symmetric counterweight. Re-level the foundation, tension or replace belts and replace worn bearings to eliminate it.
How often should blades be sharpened, and what is daily maintenance?
Depending on volume and wood hardness, check sharpness after a few shifts of continuous cutting; re-sharpen as soon as burning or poor surface appears. Daily: keep the spindle clean, periodically check bearings and belts, clear sawdust after stopping; sample cutting tests can be arranged to assess blade condition.
The grinder produces asymmetric tooth profiles. How to fix?
Check that the alignment datum is zeroed, the grinding wheel is not worn, and feed parameters are consistent; re-calibrate the automatic tool-alignment; dress or replace the wheel; ensure concentric blade clamping.
